Even water flow for a water feature

Even water flow from a statue or fall, how is it done?

If you have a statue or monolith water feature how do you get the water to run down all the surfaces evenly?

This is a typical outlet, it is just a pipe. (Statue or monolith has been removed so you can see it working)

You will see the water is just going everywhere and not in an even flow

In this picture you can see the water has a more even flow.

(For the technical minded it is a 1 1/2 inch coupler)

Although the above picture is using pipe fittings, it is the principal that counts.

You need to make a "well" in the top of your feature or statue. The water velocity is reduced by the well but not the flow rate, there by it gives an even all round flow. The wider and deeper (within reason) the well is the better it works. Also the surrounding area of the "well outlet" must be flat and even, if it isn't the majority of the water will flow down the lowest side.

The same principal is used in the water chute as shown, except the water flows evenly from one outlet at the front.

More information on the water chute is on our page here

Often, a project is never completed because of the unexpected costs. Folk do not always want to hear the truth.
