Know about fountains

Are you sure you know about fountains?

Most people assume any nozzle will fit any pump and work with no problem, first there is the physical size of the nozzle see our wrong nozzle page. Then  you have to ask is it the correct sized pump for the job. See our wrong pump page.

The height of a fountain is dictated by several factors, the first is the pool dimensions, please see our JW rule page. The second is regarding the pump, if you want a really tall / wide jet, chances are you will need a 3 phase electricity supply. Most domestic premises, and some small commercial premises only have a single phase 240v supply which will  not operate a 3 phase 415v pump*

Unlike most other places we ask what exactly is it you are trying to achieve, this is not because we are being nosey, it is because we want your fountain to work from the word go, most places will supply products with no questions asked, but then what do you do when the nozzle you just brought does not fit the pump you have? 

We had an enquiry from a person who ended his email with "...........I will decide which pump I require"  How does he know what pump will operate the nozzle he is asking about?, simple answer is, "He doesn't have a clue".  We declined to supply to him, because the products he wanted would simply not work together, but he implied that he knew better, if we had have sold him the wrong products he requested  he would have thought bad of us (even with a disclaimer) so sometimes E.F.  do decline to supply components
