Fountain Pipe Size
Fountain pipe size, or to be more specific the pipe diameter is
something that must be taken into consideration when designing a fountain
with "remote nozzles" The diameter of the pipe will reduce the flow and
pressure in proportion, but often you can not use just a strait pipe you
will need to have bends too, these greatly add to the reduction of
pressure flow. The longer the pipe run is also adds to the "problems"
There is no way round these "problems" it is the laws of
physics, however you can take these factors into consideration which
usually results in bigger pumps and bigger pipe work, which of course
costs more money. Exclusive Fountains prefers to attach nozzles directly
to the pump so eliminating any pipe work.

Above is a N1200 pump on the far left which is
connected to a Schaumsprudler 35-10e nozzle via a 22mm diameter 2m
long copper pipe. Please note: the pipe was digitally coloured in so
you can see it. (non enhanced picture is available)

The jet height is 150 cm |
Above is the same N1200 pump, the same
schaumsprudler 35-10e nozzle, but no 22mm pipe. The jet is over
twice as high.
