Water level dependant

Level dependant, what is it?

Some nozzles are level dependant, most are not. It actually means is the nozzles dependant on the water level to work properly.

This can be affected by 2 major things

Firstly if the pool is too small, so that  the water being pumped through the nozzle reduces the pool water level enough to expose the nozzle too much.

Secondly if the nozzle is mounted too high in the first place.

The left pictures below shows how the jet should look like when working correctly as the nozzle is mounted just below the water surface.

The right picture below shows how the jet looks like when the nozzle is mounted too high, it's base is just above the water surface.

You can see there is quite a difference in the two jets, the left picture the water is "white and frothy" and in the right picture it is clear and a thin jet, even though they are both pictures of the same nozzle.

This is correct, you can not see the nozzle, it is partially below the water surface

This is incorrect, almost all of the nozzle is above the water surface
