Multiple pumps for a fountain

Multiple fountain pumps why?

Take the fountain below as an example.

As you can see this fountain has six jets and six pumps.  Allow us to explain why.

Each nozzle requires a certain amount of water to work correctly, this varies according to the jet height and nozzle type. (This is called water demand)  But lets us say each nozzle  requires 15 litres per minute to work. That means we would need a single pump that can deliver 90 litres per minute (15 x 6 = 90) we would also require to build a custom manifold to attach the nozzles to.

By using individual pumps there is no need to use a big expensive pump, no cots of manifold it becomes easier for on site assembly. Then should the fountain ever require upgrading to animated or musical it already has individual pumps.
