Water feature error
If you have a "solid" water feature such as a rock or
something made form concrete it should have a "well" at the top. Here is
why.

Although in this demonstration picture it has a copper
bowl you can clearly see the water jet is too powerful. Turning the pump
down does help but this often reduces the water flow too much. If not the water will go
up too high and splash all the surrounding areas also it may empty the
sump

In this picture you can see the water is not so violent
and runs gently over the sides. This is because the feature has a well.
(But for this demonstration picture the well is inverted, which also means
you can see its effect easier) The well is just an area of the feature
that is "cut out" below the finished level. It reduces the water
velocity but not the water volume.
