| A water feature has an object, for water
to run down or fall from, such as this glass pyramid. Equally it
could be a rock or some other material. There is no livestock in a
water feature, and typically, as shown you can not see the main pool
of water (sump) The pump is sitting in the sump. |

| A fountain is where water is pumped
upwards, emits from a nozzle or orifice and falls back to the pool
or sump, but has nothing to run down. To the right is what most
people would call a fountain. This is a fountain nozzle which is
quite common in ponds |

| There are two types of pond.
A natural pond is a pool of water which has only
plants and any wildlife that calls it home.
The Livestock pond has fish as well as plants etc, but as
it has fish it must have filtration, which will mean a waterfall and
or fountain. |
