Zig zag water feature

Zig zag water feature? you may like to try this

For ease and simplicity of construction we chose to use plastic, but you could use copper or any other non ferrous material

As you can see this is a zig zag water feature. It consists of two uprights (with feet) and one support cross member.

The dimensions are up to you but the materials we used are 2 x 2m lengths 40mm push fit, 2x 90 degree bends, 2 T pieces (feet) 2 blanking caps (to go into foot with pump) 1 x 2m length of guttering

It really is as simple to build as it looks. Each upright has a length of gutter slid onto it, a hole drilled for the water to come out and a cross pipe at the top for rigidity. The left foot is a T piece with short pipes of pipe inserted the right foot is similar but with blanking caps in the end. (These are to stop the water coming out the foot, and since the water comes out the right support the left foot does not need blanks)

A hole drilled for the water to exit the left support

A left support with gutter, as the hole is 40mm in the gutter  no other fixing is required. Also no gutter end caps were used as the water is only a trickle, too much water and it will splash too much.

The pump connection on the right leg.
